The Legend of the Sleeping Princess
Mar. 26th, 2017 10:32 pmThe scene was one painted in story books staring terrible dangers and heroes of the past. The ancient temple was hidden within the dense woods, protected by monsters and other creatures that wished it's captive harm. The kingdom had been overgrown by trees for decades that stretched history into legends. It was a story of a princess who fought the darkness with her knight at her side. Now she was trapped in sleep, using every bit of her life to keep the darkness at bay.
The stone was dark though specs of lights shined as the temple was touched by the light of the moon. Most of the building was destroyed, leaking in the brightness of the sky. The only room that was intact was in the far back of the temple. A triangle was carved onto the door as well as a script of text written around the doorway.
'Only the brave may enter.'
The stone door wouldn't move except for those who possess the heart of a true warrior.
Inside the chamber was a small circular room. Water pooled around the center where bright flowers grew. A small opening in the ceiling shined light down on the figure asleep at it's center. The beautiful princess with pale skin and light wheat colored hair. A sword rested at her side, tangled in the thick vines with the crest of Hyrule engraved on the hilt.
